Why do I do what I do ?
Because I love capturing details and emotions and know the importance of having such memories to share with generations to come.
Inspiration
My family is my biggest source of inspiration. I started photography many years ago by capturing memories of my own children, Julie and Ryan. Watching them grow with photos on the walls has always been something extremely important to me. My husband Nick shares those same values and feelings. We believe that having beautiful images of our family and our children displayed in our house has helped them develop a strong sense of self-worth and self-respect. Such experiences inspire me to create beautiful memories for the families I photograph.
Experience
I earned a degree in International Business with minors in Marketing and Management from Oklahoma State University in 2008. Years later, my sister started dating a photographer (they are now married with a gorgeous little daughter). During a conversation, I mentioned to him that I would love to buy a camera to photograph my babies. He helped me research the best option for me and gave me basic classes on photography. For the next couple of years, I practiced a lot on my little ones until I decided to start my professional journey. I dedicated many hours to studying photography and opened my own business at the end of 2015. In 2018, I started teaching photography classes and speaking at conferences around the world. It has been an amazing experience.
I love meeting new photographers and inspiring their journey.

AROUND THE WORLD
I've been a speaker and mentor at events in the United States, Brazil, and other countries.
My speaking engagements have included: Click Family (2018), Newborn and Beyond (2019), Belly Baby (2020 and 2021), Click Premium (2020), Finding North Online (2020), Mexico workshop (2021).
I currently have two events planned for 2022 in California and Italy. Participating in these events is very rewarding, as it carries forward the importance and power that photography represents in my life.

Another wonderful opportunity that photography brought me was to be an instructor and content creator at Summerana Photography Academy. Teaching and inspiring new photographers and photo lovers globally is an incredibly fulfilling component of my career.

I have received several awards in the US and around the world. In 2020, I was a semifinalist in the Photography World Cup representing the Portrait category for Team Brazil.
Additionally, I have been published in dozens of magazines in five countries around the world. Some of my publications include: Houston Family Magazine, The Chronicle Newspaper, Lensational Magazine UK, Summerana Magazine, Brand Model Magazine, Belly Baby Magazine by Ana Brand, and more.
Being recognized in the US and internationally is a huge honor that fills my heart with joy.
I AM FROM BRAZIL
MOVING TO HOUSTON
I was born and raised in Brazil. I moved to Canada in 1999 as an exchange student and in 2001 I moved to the United States with my family as a full time resident. My grandmother was born in this country and we decided to move here to learn a little more about her heritage and live the "American Dream". I have been in the US now for over 20 years and love this country as my own. Both of my children were born here and have dual citizenship.
